Collective Worship Curriculum Statement

Believing that we are all children of God, we aim to create an atmosphere of contemplation, caring and respect for each others' differences during our daily act of worship. It is a time to sing and pray; think and share and communicate our feelings with one another and with God.

A daily act of worship is closely linked to our shared values of Hope, Fairness, Generosity, Trust, Joy, Love, Self-discipline, Peace, Respect, Sacrifice, Fairness, Truthfulness and Courage.

They also follow SEAL themes of:

'New Beginnings', 'Getting on and Falling out', 'Going for Goals', 'Good to be me', 'Relationships', 'Changes', 'Leaving and moving on'.

The Worship Committee, comprising of Clergy and Senior staff, plans the 2 yearly cycle. Parents are invited to attend their year groups Family Assembly half termly and all children attend the Local Church at the end of every half term.

All children take part in our daily act of Worship unless their parents inform us in writing that they want their child to be withdrawn according to their own religious beliefs.
