FREE SCHOOL MEALS (FSM)
From 1 April 2018, free school meals in all West Sussex maintained and free schools and academies are available to pupils in receipt of, or whose parents are in receipt of, one or more of the following benefits:
- Universal Credit (provided you have an annual net earned income of no more than £7,400, as assessed by earnings from up to three of your most recent assessment periods)
- Income Support
- Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance
- Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
- Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
- The guaranteed element of state Pension Credit
- Child Tax Credit (provided you're not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more £16,190)
- Working Tax Credit run-on - paid for four weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit.
All children registered for FSM are eligible for the following benefits:
- FREE UNIFORM ON ENTRY TO RECEPTION – SAVING £31.22
(1 x sweatshirt, 1 x PE shorts, 1 x PE T-shirt, 1 x bookbag and 1 x cap) - FREE UNIFORM EACH YEAR – SAVING £16.99 each year
(1 x sweatshirt, 1 x PE shorts, 1 x PE t-shirt) - FREE SCHOOL TRIPS – SAVING approx. £5 - £18 per trip
- FREE AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS (teacher led only)
- SUBSIDISED RESIDENTIAL TRIPS (if during the school week)
- TRANSPORT COSTS FOR Y4 CURRICULUM SWIMMING LESSONS – SAVING £30
- SMALL GROUP MUSIC LESSONS

COOL MILK
If your child is over five… (under 5s are FREE)
- Register your child online using the link below
- Milk usually costs around just £15 a term. By registering online, you’ll be able to make a payment straightaway. If however, you return a registration form by post we will send you a payment request. If your payment is received by 5pm on a Tuesday, your child will receive milk the following week.
- Your child will start to gain all the nutritional benefits from a daily serving of chilled milk in the classroom.
