Religious Education (RE) Curriculum Statement

Religious Education provokes challenging questions about life, our world and our place in the world.

At Heene we seek to develop children's knowledge and understanding of the Christion faith, the main faiths of children within our school and other major religions and worldviews. Children are taught skills of enquiry and are taught to express ideas and insights about the nature, impact and importance of religions and worldviews.

Our children are also encouraged to reflect on what it means to have a faith and to develop their own spiritual knowledge and understanding.

Our RE teaching is dynamic and creative and also offers distinctive opportunities to promote children's spiritual, moral, social and cultural development.
